I finally started my teaching career in the district where I started my learning! I was born and raised in Evanston and went to Lincolnwood Elementary and Kingsley Elementary schools followed by Haven Middle School then ETHS. I could not be happier to be back in District 65 teaching Physical Education to the community I know and love.
I went to DePauw University for my undergraduate studies and graduated with a BA in History with an Education Minor. I played soccer during my time at DePauw and tried to play professionally but that did not go as planned.
I started coaching soccer at Evanston Township High School in 2008 then started my teaching program at Northeastern Illinois University in 2010. I still coach at ETHS, where I am the Junior Varsity Coach. I fell in love with endurance sports in 2010 after my soccer career wound down. I compete in marathons, Ironman Triathlons, as well as shorter triathlons and running races. I have completed multiple marathons and Ironman races. I love fitness and I love being able to share my knowledge with the students I teach.
